A short post on a renovation job that I am working on here in Norway Maine. This is a bathroom remodel that is starting to take shape as we removed the old bathtub and replaced it with a new one, along with a new toilet and sink.
I also had to replaced some old flooring under the tub and laid some new tile on the rest of the floor, the drywall has been hung and am in the process of applying the tape and mud to the walls, sanding everything down getting the room ready for paint, hopefully by the end of the week.
I didn’t get any before pictures, but I will be sure to post up some photos of during and after the renovation job is done and update this post.

Well here we are in 2010 and Down To Earth has hit the ground running at full speed, this is the first season in 12 years that we have offered snow plowing as a service once again and it has really picked up the slack of the season for Down To Earth, usually we will do snow removal from roofs, decks and pathways allowing us to cover a bigger area. This year we wanted to be more central to home base here in Norway Maine and
We have also been doing property watching as well for the snowbirds and folks living out of state, this was a new service that we started offering at the end of 2009 and has been a growing business since then as has the snow plowing side. We have combined our snow removal and property maintenance services in with property watching service as a package deal for these folks.
It is almost time to start getting ready here in Maine for preparing landscape maintenance bids, which we trying to get a jump start on, as the bidding will start in March, but things are growing at a pretty good pace and will need to burn some of the midnight oil to get these done at this pace.

This a commercial job I did earlier this year at Walgreens here in Norway Maine, I had to replace the pharmacy rx sign by first securing the signs base by adding some drywall screws to the base, then applied a new elixer image to the main sign with chaulking and double sided tape for a company out of California.
Oh Yeah!!! Tis the snowy season again and we have had our first plowable storm of the year and its supposed to snow again through the day tomorrow, getting around 6-14 inches depending on where you are in Maine.
I just had a NEW plow mounted to my truck and its already to go, I couldn’t stand it and to try it out. It is one of the new HT Series put out by Fisher, its a light duty plow set up for 1/2 ton pick-ups.
If your in the Norway, Paris, Oxford Maine area and need Residential or Commercial snow removal services, give us a call and we will get you an estimate.

Today I did a dormant seeding after I did a fall cleanup on a property in Norway Maine, once I finished with the fall cleanup I then aerated the lawn, going over it twice in different directions aerating it well.
After I finished core aeration the lawn I over seeded the lawn with a perrenial rye and bluegrass grass seed mix before the snow starts to fly this season.
Down To Earth is offering a new service, Security Inspections (Interior/ Exterior) for the area snowbirds, those on vacation and those living out of state.

We will be working with the area Police Department to better serve our customers so they won’t have to worry.
This service can be combined with our lawn care and snow removal services.

Snow Removal
This past Monday I was in Portland Maine doing a gutter cleaning job on a two story cape, the job consisted of removing the leaves and debris from the gutters.
I still cannot get over the weather that we are have this November and Monday was no different, it was a great day for cleaning gutters although it was a pretty busy day as far as traveling, I was in Poland during the morning, Portland in the early afternoon and then onto a leaf cleanup job back here in Norway Maine to end the day. I was glad that the last job of the day wasn’t that far from home, which seemed really good.
It has been a really beautiful month here in Maine, which has really helped with the fall cleanup season this year.
This is one of the jobs I did on Monday, actually it was my first stop of the day in Norway. I blew the yard and mulch beds down and hauled the leaves out into the woods.
